Raymond Daw is the Executive Director of the Na’nizhoozhi Center, a Native American substance abuse treatment program that provides both residential and outpatient treatment services.  Mr. Daw has an extensive background in substance abuse prevention and community mobilization projects that serve several different Native American communities in northwest New Mexico.  He was appointed the Executive Director of New Mexico’s Fighting Back Program, whose goal was to reduce substance abuse among Native American populations using a variety of substance abuse prevention methods, educational techniques, and community anti-drug coalitions.

Mr. Daw has made significant contributions in reducing substance abuse among Native Americans and in developing culturally competent treatment methods for Native Americans with addictions and related medical and psychiatric disorders.  He has lectured on several aspects of Native American substance abuse issues, and has consulted with numerous state and federal agencies, in addition to private foundations, on reducing substance abuse among Native American populations.
